George & Mimi Frank MFS Career Grant

Thanks to an amazing legacy gift and donations from generous donors, MFS will be awarding at a minimum, 6 grants to Florida high school seniors. A one-time grant for those seeking to gain a trade skill, vocational training or certification for a career. We are excited to partner with the Frank Family in assisting young men and women flourish if a degree path is not the best option.

Starting Jan 1, 2024, you can apply for the George & Mimi Frank Career Grant all year long.

**Plus it is now open to Veterans and their immediate families!
  If you are looking into funding for vocational programs, certifications and licensures apply today!

Eligibility Requirements

Get answers to some of our most frequently asked questions.

  • How often can I apply for the grant?

    You may only apply for one grant. Make sure to research the program you are interested in pursuing or testing for.

  • When is the application due?

    The  application are on a rolling basis. We advise students to apply with time for processing and payment to be sent to the school. We will not expedite payment to school due to shortened start dates.

  • How is grant payment handled?

    A distribution will be paid directly to the program. If you have complications or need to stop your program, you will be responsible for any unpaid portion of the training programs.

  • How can I donate to the grant fund?

    You can give a donation of any amount on our website just specify career grant, or choose to take advantage of one of our planned giving options.  Have more questions send us an email.  You can also call.

  • Who can apply?

    Florida Veterans & their immediate family.


    *Highschool Seniors that have completed 3 years of JROTC are also eligible.


  • Student Qualifications to apply?

    All applicants Must be Florida Resident


    1. Has a recommendation letter.

    2. Demonstrates drive and leadership skills to obtain and complete training.

    3. Possesses moral and character attributes.


    **If qualifying via JROTC cadet program must be a current high school senior having completed atleast 3 years of the program.

  • What are the rank requirements?

    There are no rank reqirements for this grant!


    You must show your military family association by parent or grandparent to qualify. 

  • What if my program cost is less?

    The maximum award paid out to your program is $2000. If your training or certification is less than that amount, this will allow more grant funding to help additional applicants receive an opportunity.
